Mihaela Teleagă
I'm Mihaela Teleaga, a Los Angeles based fashion designer and creative director with over 14 years of experience building collections and leading production for other brands. I started drawing at six years old, and years later discovered my passion for fashion design making clothes for myself, inspired in part by the film 'A Woman of Substance.' I studied at Istituto Marangoni in London, in the fashion design program, and trained at Vivienne Westwood, where I learned the discipline behind every seam and silhouette.
In 2013, I founded Catch Michelle in London, leading the brand as founder and creative director until 2025. The brand grew from my own ideas and imagery, which I brought to life on canvas in collaboration with a Romanian surrealist painter, merging surrealist art with my vision of what fashion could be. That vision found its stage on October 4, 2015, when I presented my Spring/Summer 2016 collection, 'Dream Seller,' at Paris Fashion Week, to warm reception from the European press. In 2023, I brought that same eye for storytelling to the stage, designing costumes and set pieces for theatrical productions at the National Theatre in Bucharest.
Now settled in Los Angeles, I am seeking my next grand creative partnership.
